Happy to share my latest painting Lupus created for Modern Eden Gallery’s Infinite Horizons exhibition. Lupus is named after the lupus constellation seen on the bottom left of the canvas and is an acrylic on canvas, 11″ wide by 14″ high. Excited to share my new painting Amalgam. It features a Paralomis histrix, a species of king crab sometimes referred to as the porcupine crab. The soft curved lines of the background playfully contrast with the crab’s spikes, in keeping with the pastel-colored theme. The softly transparent rose also adds to this juxtaposition while connecting flora and fauna. Happy to share my new painting Relic featuring a chambered nautilus, a type of mollusk and distant relative of squid, octopi, and cuttlefish. The nautilus is known as a living fossil as similar animals existed over 500 million years ago, long before dinosaurs. The bubbles (or stars) in this piece are open to interpretation. It’s up to you whether they are bubbles in the sea or stars in the sky. Relic is an acrylic on canvas, 4” wide by 4” high, and you can view it on my website here: https://amyguidry.com/relic.html.
