Equilibrium

“Equilibrium” by Amy Guidry; Acrylic on canvas; 6″ x 6″; $600; (c) Amy Guidry 2022

Revealing my most recent painting in the In Our Veins series. Equilibrium features a Japanese macaque, also known as the snow monkey, one of my favorite animals since I was a kid and obsessed with pink. The pink hues in the monkey’s face and amaryllis flowers connect the two visually while the honeybees connect all flora and fauna as promoters of biodiversity. Equilibrium is an acrylic on canvas, 6″ wide by 6″ high and currently available through LeMieux Galleries in New Orleans and via their website here: https://www.lemieuxgalleries.com/art/equilibrium-by-amy-guidry.

Ouroboros

“Ouroboros” by Amy Guidry; Acrylic on canvas; 6″ x 6″; Sold; (c) Amy Guidry 2021

Excited to share my new painting Ouroboros. Black panthers in Asia and Africa are actually melanistic leopards while those in the Americas are melanistic jaguars. Beauty and protection are among much of the symbolism behind panthers while the snake is seen as a symbol of rebirth. Ouroboros is an acrylic on canvas, 6″ wide by 6″ high, and you can view it (as well as the rest of the series) online here: https://amyguidry.com/ouroboros.html.
