Excited to share my new painting Amalgam. It features a Paralomis histrix, a species of king crab sometimes referred to as the porcupine crab. The soft curved lines of the background playfully contrast with the crab’s spikes, in keeping with the pastel-colored theme. The softly transparent rose also adds to this juxtaposition while connecting flora and fauna.
