Revealing my newly finished painting Illumination. This piece was created for Modern Eden Gallery’s current exhibition New Growth. The connected lotus flower and polar bear refer to the connection of all of nature. The lotus flower is a symbol of purity, enlightenment, self-regeneration and rebirth. My painting Transcendental has found a new home. This piece was created as part of Modern Eden Gallery’s Familiar: The Spirit Animal in Contemporary Art exhibition. Happy to reveal my finished painting Balance. This piece was created for Cactus Gallery’s upcoming Magic Oceans, Sacred Rivers exhibition which focuses on ocean life and their welfare. Coral and polar bears come from disparate environments, but both are ecologically connected and affected by our actions. This piece is an acrylic on canvas, 5″ wide by 5″ high. I’m happy to reveal my new painting Regrowth, created specifically for Modern Eden Gallery’s Night Garden exhibition. The exhibit explores nature and earth magic, flora and fauna, death and wilderness. The human eyes within the leaves refer to our connection to all of nature. If you missed the opening of “The Revival” at Cactus Gallery in Los Angeles, there will be another event tomorrow. The gallery will be open for the 11th Frogtown Art Walk on Saturday, September 22nd from 4-10pm. It is a community festival that stretches 2 miles along the LA River. Numerous venues will host pop-up art exhibits, food selections, stages and performance spaces, all for free. 37 venues (Cactus Gallery, 3001 N. Coolidge Ave. LA CA 90039 is #29 on the map), 50+ artists, 3 stages with music, a “literary lounge”, an interactive light installation stretching ½ mile along the LA River, pedi-cabs, and more.
My painting Renew will be featured as part of “The Revival,” an exhibit which explores life, death, rebirth and growth represented with natural imagery.
