Sharing my new painting Evolving. This piece features a caracal, which are native to Africa, the Middle East, Central Asia, and India. Also featured is a luna moth, which gravitate towards light in the darkness of night and are therefore seen as a symbol of transformation and striving towards truth. I’ve just finished a new small painting in my In Our Veins series.  The title is Essence and it features a Southern white rhino.  They are one of two subspecies of white rhinoceros and one of the largest and heaviest land animals in the world.  Southern white rhinos are listed as Near Threatened due to habitat loss and poaching.  The butterflies in this piece represent life- both are beautiful, fragile, and ephemeral.  Essence is an acrylic on canvas, 4” wide by 4” high: https://amyguidry.com/essence.html.
