The opening for the group exhibition I’m in titled “Apocalypse Now” was held the other night at the Acadiana Center for the Arts in Lafayette, Louisiana. The exhibit is up now through January 9, 2016 and will be open late for upcoming Artwalk events in November, December, and January.
I have a couple of exhibitions to mention: First, “The Coaster Show” at La Luz de Jesus Gallery in Los Angeles is currently open. There will be a Closing Party this Sunday, September 27th from Noon to 6pm. I have one coaster left – Reflection – as seen in the YAY! LA Magazine preview article.
Coming up this October, I will be showing as part of the “Apocalypse Now” exhibit at the Acadiana Center for the Arts in Lafayette, Louisiana. The exhibit starts October 10th, with an opening reception that evening from 6-9pm (in conjunction with Second Saturday Artwalk). The exhibit will remain up through January 6, 2016 so there will be plenty of time to check it out.

The 1000 Words exhibition opened at the Acadiana Center for the Arts last Saturday night. The opening was held in conjunction with the Second Saturday Artwalk in Lafayette, Louisiana. I have a few photos from the opening- more are posted on my website at this direct link: www.amyguidry.com/events.html. If you missed the opening, not to worry because there will actually be other ‘openings’ during the June and July Artwalk. The exhibit is open now through July 13th.
I’m currently showing on the West Coast and the East Coast, and happy to say that my next exhibit will be local (in Lafayette, Louisiana). The Acadiana Center for the Arts is presenting an exhibition of narrative art titled 1000 Words in which I have been invited to participate. The exhibit will be held in the Main Gallery starting May 11th through July 13th. The opening reception will be held on May 11th from 6-9pm, in conjunction with the Second Saturday Artwalk.
I wanted to share a few photos from opening night a few weeks ago at Gallery 549 in Lafayette, LA. As it turns out, the exhibit has been extended and will be up for this month’s Second Saturday Artwalk on the 12th. These are just a few photos- you can view the entire album here: www.amyguidry.com/events.html. And be sure to check out the show in person at the next Artwalk, January 12th from 6-9pm.
