Happy to reveal my newly finished painting Inseparable. This piece is currently part of the Infinite Well 2 exhibition curated by WOW x WOW at Nucleus Portland Gallery in Portland, OR. The exhibition is open now through October 2nd. The human third eye refers to our connection to all of nature. Inseparable features a red ruffed lemur, which are critically endangered, and the black dahlia flowers connect both flora and fauna. Inseparable is an acrylic on canvas, 6″ wide by 6″ high. Infinite Well II

Very excited for this upcoming exhibition curated by WOW x WOW at Nucleus Portland Gallery in Portland, Oregon. I’ve created a new painting for this show and if you’ve been following along, you’ve seen a few sneak peeks of it in progress. The Infinite Well II exhibition opens this Friday, September 6th. I’m happy to reveal my painting Woven which was created for WOW x WOW’s MicroVisions 2 exhibition. Every plant, animal, and insect serves a role in the life cycle, together forming the delicate balance of nature. The human third eye in this piece refers to our connection to all of nature. The leaves extending from the eye, weaving around the privet hawk moth’s antennae, connect us to all flora and fauna. The exhibit explores nature and earth magic, flora and fauna, death and wilderness. The human eyes within the leaves refer to our connection to all of nature. Sharing a couple of progress photos of a new painting for Gristle Art Gallery’s upcoming “Killing Jar” exhibition.  This insect-themed group exhibit opens October 20th at Gristle Art Gallery in New York.  I can’t reveal the finished painting yet, but these are some sneak previews of my piece while it was in progress.  The title is Delicate, which refers to the delicate beauty of the stag beetle.  It is an acrylic on canvas, 5″ wide by 5″ high.  The finished piece will be revealed soon.  In the meantime, you can view more work from this series here: https://amyguidry.com/gallery.html.
