I was recently invited to create coasters for the upcoming “Coaster Show” at La Luz de Jesus Gallery in Los Angeles, California.  The coasters I painted are in keeping with my In Our Veins series and are now online.  The titles are Pathway and Reflection, both are acrylic on cardstock, 4″ tondo, and $100 each.  The exhibit opens September 4th, with a reception from 8-11pm and runs through September 27th.  View/purchase the coasters online here: http://laluzdejesus.com/the-3rd-annual-coaster-show-harold-fox/pathway/ and here: http://laluzdejesus.com/the-3rd-annual-coaster-show-harold-fox/reflection/.

I have two shows coming up- one in New York and one in New Orleans.  “(Ouroboros)” is a group exhibition opening at LeMieux Galleries in New Orleans, June 6th through July 25th.  The other exhibit is called “Reinventing the Helm” and will open at Sara Nightingale Gallery in the Hamptons, June 6th through August 3rd.

“(Ouroboros)” opens with a reception on June 6th, 6-9pm, in conjunction with the Julia Street Artwalk in New Orleans.  “Reinventing the Helm” opens June 6th as well, 6-8pm.

One of the group exhibitions I am participating in is opening this week.  The P.3+Baton Rouge Invitational is part of the satellite exhibitions program of the Prospect Biennial New Orleans.  The opening reception will be held this Saturday, November 15th from 12-7pm at the TTowers Gallery, Chase Tower South in Baton Rouge, LA.  Exhibition remains up through January 25th, 2015.  More details: http://www.prospectneworleans.org/p3plus-regional/.

For those of you that are or will be in the Lafayette, Louisiana area this month, I have an exhibition opening at Gallery 549 in downtown Lafayette.  I am part of this group exhibition featuring local and regional artists.  The opening reception will be this Saturday, November 8th from 6-9pm.  The opening is also held in conjunction with Second Saturday Artwalk the same day so all galleries will be open as well.  The exhibit will remain up through the end of November.

Guidry/Goldfinch Opening

My 2-person exhibit with Jessica Goldfinch is currently up at Barrister’s Gallery in New Orleans.  These are a few photos from the opening reception.  And in conjunction with the Prospect.3 Biennial opening this weekend, there will be another reception at Barrister’s Gallery this Saturday, October 25th, from 6-9pm.

The time has finally come and my 2-person exhibit with Jessica Goldfinch opens this weekend.  The exhibit features new work and opens this Saturday, October 11th at Barrister’s Gallery in New Orleans.  The opening reception will be held in conjunction with the St. Claude Arts District- SCAD- Artwalk from 6-9pm.

I received some good news: my work has been selected for the “Real and Surreal” exhibit to be held at Sandra Lee Gallery in San Francisco, California. The juror of this exhibit is DeWitt Cheng, Art writer, critic, and curator of Stanford Art Spaces. The exhibit will run September 4th through the 26th, with an opening September 4th from 5:30-7:30pm.

Here is a sneak preview of what I’ve been working on for the upcoming 2nd Annual Coaster Show at La Luz de Jesus Gallery in Los Angeles, CA.  On the left is my sketch on the actual coaster after applying gesso and the sketches on the right are for other coasters.  I’ll be posting more photos here soon.  The Coaster Show takes place at La Luz de Jesus starting September 5th (with an opening reception from 8-11pm) through September 28th.

I recently received news that my work has been selected for the 2014 Art Melt to be held at Capitol Park Museum (formerly Louisiana State Museum) in Baton Rouge.  Surprisingly, I think this may be the 10th time my work has been in the Art Melt (all but the very first).  This year’s jurors are Ben Thompson, Curator at the Museum of Contemporary Art Jacksonville; Katie Pfohl, Curator at LSU Museum of Art; and Eric Robert Dallimore, co-owner of the Leon Gallery, Denver, Colorado. 

The Preview Party will be held July 18th from 7-10pm.  The official opening (free to the public) will be July 19th from 5-9pm.
