I’ve recently finished my painting for the upcoming “Wanderlust” exhibit at Modern Eden Gallery in San Francisco, CA. The painting is an acrylic on cardstock (it’s an actual postcard!), roughly 6″ wide by 4″ high, titled Interdependence. The piece is part of my In Our Veins series though I created it with the show in mind. The exhibit will have an opening reception on December 13th at Modern Eden Gallery, from 6-10 pm. New painting currently in progress. The first photo is the original sketch on canvas. The second photo is the first layer of paint and current detail work to the eyes. Her entire face is about the size of a quarter. It’s an acrylic on canvas, 6″ wide by 12″ high. As mentioned earlier, I was invited to create a set of coasters for La Luz de Jesus Gallery’s 2nd Annual Coaster Show. My coasters are finished and currently at the gallery, awaiting the opening on September 5th. They are 4″ tondo coasters, acrylic on cardstock, and $100 each- top row from the left- Intertwined and Whole; bottom row from left- Union and Connected. Here is a sneak preview of what I’ve been working on for the upcoming 2nd Annual Coaster Show at La Luz de Jesus Gallery in Los Angeles, CA. On the left is my sketch on the actual coaster after applying gesso and the sketches on the right are for other coasters. I’ll be posting more photos here soon. The Coaster Show takes place at La Luz de Jesus starting September 5th (with an opening reception from 8-11pm) through September 28th.
