I’m currently offering free shipping within the U.S. on both prints of The Wild West and Everything’s Coming Up Roses.  Each are a limited edition run of 50 Giclées.  Hand signed and numbered on acid-free, 100% cotton, Archival 230 gsm paper.  The Wild West is 11″ wide by 14″ high (image size is 10″ wide by 12.5″ high) and Everything’s Coming Up Roses is 14″ wide by 11″ high (image size is 12.5″ wide by 9.5″ high).

I’m excited to announce that my painting Everything’s Coming Up Roses is now in the permanent collection of The City of Slidell.  It is an acrylic on canvas, 40″ wide by 30″ high, and from my Beneath the Surface series from 2006-2007.  It will be located at City Hall in Slidell, Louisiana (just outside of New Orleans), which is my original hometown.  I am honored to have a piece in their collection and am in great company as they also have work by George Rodrigue, Barbara Shaw, and George Dunbar, among others.  View the painting (as well as zoom in) at this direct link: www.amyguidry.com/everythings_roses.html.

New Realm- New Work

Two pieces to mention from the New Realm series.  These are 5″ x 5″ paintings from the aptly titled, New Realm 5 x 5 series.  Both paintings feature the heroine of the story as well as the butterflies.  The top piece is titled “Daybreak.”  This was fairly time-consuming given all the butterflies in the painting.  However, I was rather happy with the outcome, so well worth the challenge.

The bottom piece is titled “Morning.”  This is also part of the 5 x 5 series. This painting stems from the large New Realm piece, “Renewal.”  Both have the same concept behind them- that of change, a new day, a fresh start.

Both of these new paintings will be featured in my upcoming solo exhibition at the Schepis Museum in Columbia, LA next month. The entire New Realm series, including the 5 x 5 series will be on exhibit.
