While finishing up another painting, I have a small piece currently in the works. This is a progress photo after the outline sketch onto canvas and applying a rough layer of paint and more detailed layers on the left side of the skull. The finished painting will be posted here soon.

I’ve made some more progress to my current painting. This is a closeup of the deer I’m working on. I’ve built up the layers of paint, getting the colors where I want them to be and adding fine details with tiny round brushes in the final stage. I’ll post the painting again once it is finished. The Coaster Show, which I am participating in, officially opens tonight at La Luz de Jesus Gallery in Los Angeles. Yay! LA Magazine did a preview about the exhibit and selected one of my pieces (Reflection) as one of the featured artworks. I was recently invited to create coasters for the upcoming “Coaster Show” at La Luz de Jesus Gallery in Los Angeles, California. The coasters I painted are in keeping with my In Our Veins series and are now online. The titles are Pathway and Reflection, both are acrylic on cardstock, 4″ tondo, and $100 each.
