“Revere” by Amy Guidry; Acrylic on canvas; 5″ x 5″; SOLD; (c) Amy Guidry 2020

Revealing my latest painting Revere. This piece was created for Gristle Art Gallery’s Birds of Paradise exhibition. Revere features a female red-tailed black cockatoo which have yellow spots (males are solid black) so I took the liberty of painting them metallic gold. The angled second photo shows the metallic sheen a bit more. Big thanks to whomever brought this one home! Revere is an acrylic on canvas, 5″ wide by 5″ high.

Inside Out

“Inside Out” by Amy Guidry; Acrylic on canvas; 12″ x 12″; (c) Amy Guidry 2020

Revealing another finished painting Inside Out. Inside out is in reference to our love of nature mimicked through consumer goods which, once they are old or we tire of them, are tossed out into the very thing we love: nature. This painting is currently part of the “All the Things” group exhibition at Roq la Rue in Seattle. The show is up now through March 7th. Inside Out is an acrylic on canvas, 12″ wide by 12″ high. Fragile

“Fragile” by Amy Guidry; Acrylic on canvas; 5″ x 5″; SOLD; (c) Amy Guidry 2020

Sharing my latest finished painting Fragile. It should be noted that artistic liberties were taken with this piece as (aside from the obvious abdomen) this spider doesn’t actually exist. I came up with her after looking at several references. The decorative porcelain abdomen serves to highlight the beauty and fragility of these small creatures which have an important role in our ecosystem. This piece is an acrylic on canvas, 5″ wide by 5″ high. You can view Fragile on my website here: https://amyguidry.com/fragile.html.

In Progress

Painting in progress by Amy Guidry; Acrylic on canvas; 5″ x 5″; (c) Amy Guidry 2020

Progress photo of a new painting in the works. Sometimes I take artistic license with my subjects if they don’t quite fit what I had in mind. Such as this spider, which aside from the obvious (abdomen), doesn’t actually exist. So I looked at several spiders and created this one. This piece is an acrylic on canvas, 5″ wide by 5″ high.
