I’ve just finished two new paintings in my In Our Veins series. The first is titled Connections and is a 6″ x 6″ acrylic on canvas. The second is titled Bound and is 6″ wide by 4″ high, also acrylic on canvas. While both are different in content, the basis behind each painting is very similar. Both illustrate the connection between all species, whether plants or animals, including humans and serve as a reminder of the significance of such a relationship. I’ve recently begun a new painting in my In Our Veins series. It is a 6″ x 6″ acrylic on canvas. I started off with a very basic sketch on the canvas, basically outlining everything. Then I started roughing in a beginning layer of paint and as it progresses, I will be adding more layers of paint, building up the colors, and refining the details as I go. Another painting from the In Our Veins series has found a new home. Cycle is an acrylic on canvas, 4″ x 4,” and was just recently featured here. The title pertains to the cycle of life and how our actions of the both the past and present affect our future environment. I’ve made great strides with my latest painting. I’ve just about finished the background and will be moving on to the gazelles next. The size of the canvas is 20″ wide by 10″ high. I’ll be posting the finished painting here soon!

I was recently invited to exhibit in Les Bon Artiste Roule at the Zigler Art Museum in Jennings, LA. The show consists of artists from the Lafayette area that have previously exhibited at the Zigler.
