I have a new painting currently in progress. The title is Fusion and it is a 4″ x 4″ canvas. This is just my initial sketch on canvas before I start applying the first layer of paint. I don’t want to give away the surprise, so I’ll just post a sneak peek at one of my paintings currently in progress. This piece has a few tiny elements in the background that require a steady hand and practically microscopic paintbrush. The photo is a little blurry but you get the idea. I’ve finally finished and posted my most recent painting in my In Our Veins series. You may recall seeing my progress shots along the way. I’ve titled it Chain Reaction and it is an acrylic on canvas, 10″ wide by 20″ high. In addition, I’ve also finished a smaller painting in the same series- Transition, acrylic on canvas, 6″ wide by 4″ high. Both can be viewed online here and here.

I recently posted my latest work in progress. Since doing the basic sketch on canvas, I’ve added a rough first layer of paint and then moved on to the background and some of the animals. The deer is currently in progress and I will move on to the remaining animals next. It is an acrylic on canvas, 10″ wide by 20″ high. I’ve recently begun a new painting in my In Our Veins series. As featured here I start with a rough sketch on canvas to work out the positioning and basic outline of the subject(s) before moving on to the first layer of paint. I’ve just finished two new paintings in my In Our Veins series. The first is titled Connections and is a 6″ x 6″ acrylic on canvas. The second is titled Bound and is 6″ wide by 4″ high, also acrylic on canvas. While both are different in content, the basis behind each painting is very similar. Both illustrate the connection between all species, whether plants or animals, including humans and serve as a reminder of the significance of such a relationship. I’ve recently begun a new painting in my In Our Veins series. It is a 6″ x 6″ acrylic on canvas. I started off with a very basic sketch on the canvas, basically outlining everything. Then I started roughing in a beginning layer of paint and as it progresses, I will be adding more layers of paint, building up the colors, and refining the details as I go.
