Lumen

“Lumen” by Amy Guidry; Acrylic on canvas; 5″ x 5″; SOLD; (c) Amy Guidry 2023

Happy to share my new painting Lumen which features a Calleta silkmoth. Most nocturnally active moths are attracted to light, a phenomenon known as positive phototaxis, but in Lumen, the light comes from the moth, as they represent life in my paintings. Lumen is an acrylic on canvas, 5″ wide by 5″ high, and available at LeMieux Galleries in New Orleans as well as via their website: https://www.lemieuxgalleries.com/art/lumen-by-amy-guidry.

“Interrelation” by Amy Guidry; Acrylic on canvas; 4″ x 4″; Sold (c) Amy Guidry 2021

Excited to reveal my new painting Interrelation. This piece was created for Modern Eden Gallery’s *Actual Size exhibition in which all pieces feature animal subjects at their actual size. Interrelation features a many-spotted tiger moth atop a Crassula Buddha’s temple succulent. I also did something new with this one and extended the black and white pattern to all 4 sides of the painting. Interrelation is an acrylic on canvas, 4″ wide by 4″ high. You can view it online here: https://amyguidry.com/interrelation.html.
