One of my most recent paintings from my In Our Veins series has found a new home. I recently posted a progress photo of this piece and just featured it in my recent newsletter. The title is Fusion and it is an acrylic on canvas, 4″ x 4.” This was one that I came up with the original sketch for a couple of years ago and jotted it down in my sketchbook to come back to later- something I literally do all the time. I’ve finally finished and posted my most recent painting in my In Our Veins series. You may recall seeing my progress shots along the way. I’ve titled it Chain Reaction and it is an acrylic on canvas, 10″ wide by 20″ high. In addition, I’ve also finished a smaller painting in the same series- Transition, acrylic on canvas, 6″ wide by 4″ high. Both can be viewed online here and here.

I am happy to announce that I was recently selected as one of the artists for the upcoming “North/South” exhibit at Robert Lange Studios in Charleston, South Carolina. The exhibit will feature two paintings by each artist depicting the North and South. The opening reception will be held November 1st from 5-8pm and the show will remain up through the month. I recently posted my latest work in progress. Since doing the basic sketch on canvas, I’ve added a rough first layer of paint and then moved on to the background and some of the animals. The deer is currently in progress and I will move on to the remaining animals next. It is an acrylic on canvas, 10″ wide by 20″ high. As featured here I start with a rough sketch on canvas to work out the positioning and basic outline of the subject(s) before moving on to the first layer of paint.
