I recently received some good news! My work has been selected for inclusion in the B14- Wiregrass Museum of Art’s 2014 Biennial. The exhibition will open in July, with an opening reception on July 17th at 5:30 pm. The exhibition will remain up through September at the Wiregrass Museum of Art in Dothan, Alabama. Excited to announce my work has been selected for inclusion in the “Less is More” exhibit at The Mitchell Gallery, St. John’s College in Annapolis, MD. The juror of the exhibition is Domenic Iacono, Director of Syracuse University Art Galleries. Exhibit opens May 28th- June 15th.

Gearing up for a 2-person exhibit at Barrister’s Gallery in New Orleans. It will open in October 2014, which for me, is right around the corner. Good news is it will be during the Prospect.3 Biennial! Until then I will be painting like a madwoman- a madwoman that paints with small dabs and tiny brushstrokes, that is.

I am excited to reveal my new paintings specifically created for the North/South exhibit to open at Robert Lange Studios this week. I was one of the artists selected to create two paintings- one representing North and one representing South. My paintings are both 6″ x 6,” acrylic on canvas, titled Herd and Unit. My work was recently selected for inclusion in The Fletcher Exhibit: Social and Politically Engaged Art to be held at the Tipton Gallery in Johnson City, Tennessee. The exhibit is run by East Tennessee State University in memory of one of their students, Fletcher Dyer, in an effort to continue and advance his endeavor for politically and socially motivated art. The juror is Michael Aurbach, an artist and professor of sculpture and drawing at Vanderbilt University in Nashville, Tennessee. The exhibit runs November 1st through the 27th, with an opening reception on November 1st, from 6-8pm at Tipton Gallery.

Coming up as of next week is the “Enigma” exhibit at The Shaw Center for the Arts in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. The show is curated by Kelli Scott Kelley and consists of works by Jamie Baldridge of Lafayette, Louisiana; Mark Cervenka of Houston, Texas; Joshua Chambers of Bosier City, Louisiana; Amy Guidry of Lafayette, Louisiana; Todd Hines of Baton Rouge, Louisiana; Debbie Kupinsky of Appleton, Wisconsin; and Karey Rawitscher of the Czech Republic. The opening reception is October 17th from 6-8pm and the exhibit will remain up through November 22nd, 2013.

I recently received some exciting news that my work has been selected for the Fifth Annual National Figurative Drawing and Painting Exhibition at the Lore Degenstein Gallery of Susquehanna University in Selinsgrove, Pennsylvania. The exhibition opening and awards ceremony will take place October 19th from 7-9pm. The show will remain up through December 6th.
