I like to paint.\u00a0 There was a time when I was scared to paint, thinking I wouldn\u2019t be any good at it.\u00a0 I was used to drawing and liked the precision and control I had with it.\u00a0 Paint seemed messy and unforgiving.\u00a0 I can\u2019t pinpoint exactly when I began to like painting.\u00a0 I think gradually I just learned to be less critical of my results thus allowing me more opportunity to work with paint.\u00a0 I like the tactile process of painting.\u00a0 I like filling in each square inch of a canvas, transforming it from a white blank space into a story.\u00a0 I like the toothy texture of the canvas.\u00a0 I like the look of the paint as it spreads across and fills in each crevice.\u00a0 I like the challenge of it even though it can be daunting.\u00a0 I just really like to paint.<\/p>\n
